INFORMATION BULLETIN No.2


This bulletin No. 2 contains the following information:
- a preliminary list of the Plenary/Invited talks;
- a list of tutorials;
- updated information on accommodation, proceedings and deadlines;
- information on HP grants for participants from Russia and other
FSU Republics.

Attention!
Deadline for applications (workshop registration) is shifted to
May 15, 2002
(Earlier registration is strongly recommended for successful visa
processing).

General information on the meeting was delivered in the
Information Bulletin No.1. It can be also found on the Workshop
Web-page (http://acat02.sinp.msu.ru).

Further detailed information on the Workshop scientific program,
traveling, etc. will be communicated to registered participants
in the Information Bulletin No.3.

TUTORIALS

In conjunction with the Workshop ACAT'2002, we plan on tutorials
on modern trends and methods in computer science and their applications
in physics research to be held on 22 and 23 June, 2002 (before the
Workshop) as well as during the Workshop days.

Thanks to sponsoring by the IBM Company, there is no special attendance
fee for the tutorials.

(http://acat02.sinp.msu.ru) selecting the courses you wish to attend.
If case you do not have an access to the Internet, please fill in
the corresponding form below and send it us by email.

Deadline for sending the form to attend the tutorials is May 15, 2002.

In the case you need accommodation for 22d and 23d of June to
attend the tutorials, please:

- if you are going to stay in a hotel, indicate appropriate dates
in the form for the Academservice Company (available at the Web-page)
or (if you have sent the form already with dates including only
the Workshop period) contact them (by FAX +7 (095) 913 3113 or
+7 (095) 755 8858) for the corrections;

- if you are going to stay in the Student House, indicate appropriate
dates in the registration form or (if you have sent the form
already with dates including only the Workshop period) send us an
email (acat02@sinp.msu.ru) for the corrections.

Detailed information on organization and venue of the tutorials
will be communicated to the registered participants in the
Information Bulletin No.3 to be delivered by the beginning of June.

CONTRIBUTIONS AND PROCEEDINGS

Talks will be selected by the Program Committee on the basis of
abstracts to be submitted before May 15, 2002 using the special
form at our Web site.

We plan to publish the Proceedings of the Workshop after the meeting.
A special circular with the instructions for authors will be sent out
later. A CD-ROM version of the Proceedings will be also released.

ACCOMMODATION

Hotel Information

Through the intermediary of the Moscow Academservice DMC Company,
hotel accommodation can be reserved at reduced rates.
Academservice works with 50 hotels in Moscow, from tourist class
to luxury hotels. For details on available hotels, please visit
our Web-page.

If hotel reservations are required, a hotel booking form (please
download the Word processor file or ps-files with the form from
our Web site) has to be filled in and sent by FAX directly to
Academservice: +7 (095) 913 3113 or +7 (095) 755 8858.
In order to avoid disappointments (in particular, to get Russian
visa in time), early booking is advised. Academservice will forward
a personal hotel voucher to the delegate only after receipt of
the deposit. If Academservice does not receive the deposit the hotel
reservation will not be made.

According to the Academservice DMC booking rules
(http://www.tourintel.ru/rules.html), cancellation without penalty
can be made before 9:00 a.m. GMT 3 working days prior to arrival.
Late cancellation are subject to cancellation fee equal to: 100% cost
of the first night accommodation including breakfast. But when
Academservice DMC arranged Visa Support, penalty is taken always
in spite of the date when a cancellation have been made.
Visa support: For those who will book the hotel, the visa support
will be sent together with a hotel voucher.

A limited number of rooms in the University Student House
(about $10 per night) will be also available. In the Student House,
each two single rooms (8 sq.m., furnished, TV, fridge, telephone) share
shower and toilet; everything is simple, but reasonable. The University
Student House is located in the same building (the Main Building of
MSU) where Workshop sessions will take place. There are many dining
rooms and cafeterias inside the Main Building. If you wish to stay in
the Student House please mark the corresponding item in the
Pre-registration form . Since only a limited number of the
Student House rooms are available, we cannot guarantee in advance
their reservation for everyone who wish to stay there.
We shall inform when the limit will be exhausted.

Please notice:
- For those participants, who would like to stay at the
Student House, we order the visa support through the Moscow
State University. For this aim we need your personal data from the
pre-registration form and a copy of your passport sent by fax.
- Moscow State University does not valid to provide the visa support
for accompanying persons. Therefore all accompanying persons have
to stay in hotels, not in the Student House.

HP GRANTS for PARTICIPANTS from RUSSIA and other FSU REPUBLICS

The Hewlett-Packard Company has established a program of support of
scientists from Russian Federation and other FSU Republics for
participation in the ACAT'2002 Workshop. Deadline for the applications
was April 20, 2002.

All applicants will be informed of the outcome of the selection by May 15,
2002.
