Sitnikova E.F., Kruskop S.V., Mishta A.V. 2009. Material on the bat fauna of Bryansk Region. ­ Plecotus et al. 11-12: 32­49. The bat faunal survey was carried out in the territory of Bryansk Region in 2004­2009. On the whole 43 localities situated in 17 of 27 districts of the region were covered by our study. By using set of standard capture methods 266 bat specimens were captured, most of which were released after examination and measuring. Based on these data the presence of eleven bat species has been confirmed for the region, namely Myotis brandtii, M. daubentonii, Plecotus auritus, P. kuhlii, P. nathusii, P. pygmaeus, Nyctalus leisleri, N. noctula, Eptesicus nilssonii, E. serotinus and Vespertilio murinus. Thus, including the old data, Bryansk regional bat fauna contains at least fourteen species. During our survey Kuhl's pipistrelle and the northern bat have been recorded in Bryansk Region for the first time; evidences for increase in numbers of the common serotine in the region have been gathered.
