Apollo 12 Lunar Module Pilot Alan Bean recalling his experiences in space. Telescopes setup on the Flight Deck of the USS Hornet. Unfortunately, it was overcast and the only thing being observed was the buildings of San Francisco. Looking down the Flight Deck of the USS Hornet. We're facing toward the back of the ship. The large towering structure dominating the picture is known as "the island."
