Course of Astro-Statistics
The Arcetri Astrophysical Observatory is organizing a course of statistics applied to astrophysical problems. The lectures will illustrate techniques to solve of a number of statistical problems commonly encountered in astrophysics:
Apr. 14th-16th, prof. Eric D. Feigelson (Penn State): introductory lectures
Monday April 14, 2-4pm
2-3: Introduction to Astrostatistics [general lecture]
3-4: Introduction to the R statistical computing environment [lecture and tutorial]
