The Story in the March 21 issue of the Eugene Register Guard Contained a number of factual errors which I was unaware of prior to the story going to press:

1. The address of the web page is listed as http://www.zebu.uoregon.edu/cometh
this is in correct (although it does work); please do not keep this address but use the correct one instead which is http://zebu.uoregon.edu/cometh

2. The tail of the comet was reported as being 10--20 kilometers in length. Pretty absurd, I agree. The tail in the sky has an angular extent of 10--20 degrees. The intrinsic length of the tail is 100-200 million kilometers when fully developed (most of that length can't be seen with the unaided eye).

3. The orbital period of the comets is in the hundreds of thousands of years, not 10-20,000 as reported.
