DRIVING FROM Route 93 (93-N is best route from the airport)

Take the RT-16 / MYSTIC VALLEY PKWY exit- EXIT 31- toward ARLINGTON. Stay STRAIGHT to go onto MYSTIC VALLEY PKWY / MA-16 W. At 1st roundabout bear off right along MYSTIC VALLEY PKWY. Mystic River is on your right. Go through another roundabout (intersection with Rte 60). Mystic Lake is on your right. At next light (traffic light and Gulf Station) turn RIGHT onto MYSTIC ST / US-3. Pass one traffic light. Turn at 3d RIGHT onto FAIRVIEW AVE.

Here's a link to a Boston area transit association (MBTA) for details on subways and bus schedules. The closest subway "T" stop to us is Alewife, at the end of the Red line. From there, you can take the 350 (about every half hour - see 350 schedule) which stops right at the end of our little street, near the times listed for the intersection of "Mystic St & Old Mystic St".

DRIVING FROM CAMBRIDGE or from Route 16

Go North on Mass Ave into Arlington. Proceed past the Capitol Theatre on your left into Arlington Center which is at the intersection of Mass Ave with Pleasant St (Route 60). Go right (East) onto Route 60 but bear left on Mystic Street (Route 3). Follow directions FROM MASS AVE.

DRIVING FROM MASS AVE

From Mass Ave in Arlington Center, get onto Route 60 East (= Pleasant St), but then stay left on Mystic Street (Route 3). You will wind downhill to the left, then uphill. You will pass a Gulf Station on your left (at the intersection with Mystic Valley Pkwy aka Route 2A), then wind uphill to the right. After the next (seemingly purposeless) traffic light the 3d street on your right is Fairview Ave.

Fifth house on the left, park anywhere you like! Looks like this, in the summer.

DRIVING FROM THE NORTHWEST on ROUTE 2

From Route 2 East, take Exit 59 onto Route 60 towards Arlington Center. You'll go straight 0.3mi alongside Route 2 before taking a left onto MA-60 (= Pleasant St). You'll cross over Route 2, wind around to Mass Ave (=Arlington Center). Follow directions FROM MASS AVE.

DRIVING FROM THE MASS PIKE

From the MASSACHUSETTS TPKE (I-90), take Exit 14 onto I-95 North (= MA Rte 128 North) towards NH/Maine/Boston. Then go about 7 miles to Route 2 East via Exit 29A towards Arlington/Cambridge. Go 4.5 miles, then follow the directions FROM THE NORTHWEST on ROUTE 2. Not the shortest way, but unless youi have a good GPS, don't even think about the quicker route through Cambridge and the "spaghetti loop" on Rte 16.

DRIVING FROM the NORTH (FROM Rte 95)

From Rte 95, take Exit 33A onto Rte 3 South (Cambridge Tpk) Pass the Burlington Plaza on your left. Follow Cambridge Rd through Woburn into Winchester. Pass Church St/High St traffic light. (Streets change names a lot in Massachusetts.) Drive along west shore of Upper Mystic Lake. Pass Winchester Country Club on your right. Road enters town of Arlington. About 1/2mi beyond the WInchester Country Club, go left on Fairview Ave. It's 3 streets *before* the traffic light at Columbia Rd/Kimball St.

BY PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

From the airport , take a free shuttle bus to the subway (the 'T'). Then hop the blue line towards downtown (inbound, direction Bowdoin). Go 3 stops to Government Center, where you transfer to the Green Line. Take *any* of the numerous green line trains, one stop to Park Street. Transfer to the Red Line towards Alewife.

Take the Red Line towards Alewife. Get off at Alewife Station, the last stop on the Red Line. Then call us! Or... take the 350 Bus (click here for schedule).
