SPECIAL RIA LECTURE BY PROF GEOFFREY BURBIDGE:
 
"There Was No Big Bang -a violent world without a beginning or an  end"

by Professor Geoffrey Burbidge, University of California, San Diego.  7.30pm 
Tuesday 16 August, 2005, Conference Centre, Dublin Castle.
 
Geoffrey Burbidge is one of the famous ' BBFH Quartet' (or B2FH),  comprising 
Geoffrey & Margaret Burbidge, Willy Fowler & Fred Hoyle who  were setting 
astrophysics alight in the late Sixties and Seventies. It should be  well worth 
hearing!

This lecture will be advertised in the Irish Times on 28 July, and is
