2. Tue, 3 Jan,  7.00pm, RTE2 TV: Asteroid! The Doomsday Rock - a documentary 
about a team of  scientists monitoring NEOs.

3. Thu, 5 Jan, 4.30pm, BBC R4: The  Material World - discussion about Near 
Earth  Objects.

4. Fri, 6 Jan, 8.30pm, BBC4 TV: The Sky at  Night - the Deep Impact Mission 
and more. (Repeat)
 
5. ISS: A new series of evening passes starts today: see

6. METEORS:  Don't forget the Quadrantid meteors, peaking on 3/4  January 
(see last E/M).
 
7. IAA New Year Party, 7 January: you should have paid your money (£10  each, 
£5 children, £25 for 2 adults + 2 children) to John Hall by now,  but if you 
produce a doctor's certificate, he might give you an extra day  or so to 
pay.....
