How fast am I moving?

Using The Orrery, look at one of the planets. Using a ruler measure the
distance between two discs, of the same planet, in number order e.g. from
disc 1 to disc 2 or disc 3 to disc 4. Make certain that you are measuring
from the centre dot of each disc. We can measure how fast the planets are
moving by measuring the distance between each disc.
Pick one planet and measure the distance between two discs which are next
to each other. Now continue around the planet's orbit.

The larger the distance between the discs the faster the planet is moving.
The smaller the distance, the slower it is moving.

Take care
Some of the discs do not increase in 1's, they increase in 5's or 10's.
This means that the time between the discs are not the same as that for the
inner planets. How will you make the time the same?
