Armagh Observatory reports that November was much drier and sunnier than average. ![]()
November Drier and Sunnier
Rainfall amounted to 47.1 mm (1.85 inches), that is, almost 40% lower than the average monthly figure of 77.7 mm (3.06 in).
The number of hours of sunshine was 78.8, nearly 40% higher than the average of 57 hours. Last month was the eighth sunniest November since records began in 1880.
The mean monthly temperature was average for a November at 6.4 degrees Celsius (43.5 degrees Fahrenheit). There were fourteen nights with ground frost and nine with air frost. Snow fell on two days and fog occurred on three days.
These data refer to observations at Armagh Observatory, which has been recording the weather at Armagh since 1795.
