Armagh Observatory reports that April was drier and sunnier than average. ![]()
April Drier and Sunnier
Rainfall amounted to 45.2 mm, that is almost 20% lower than the average figure of 55.3 mm.
There were 164.2 hours of sunshine, compared with the average of 133.2 hours.
The mean monthly temperature was 8.3 degrees Celsius, a little above the average of 8.1 degrees. There were 15 nights with ground frost and 3 days with air frost.
These data refer to observations at Armagh Observatory, which has been recording the weather at Armagh since 1795.
