Armagh Observatory reports that February was much drier, duller and milder than average.
The total precipitation for the month was 31.3 mm (1.23 inches), that is, almost 40% less than the most recent 30-year (1981-2010) average.
The number of hours of sunshine was 31.0, that is, about 55% less than the most recent 30-year (1981-2010) average.
The mean monthly temperature was 7.1 degrees Celsius (44.7 degrees Fahrenheit), that is, just over 2 degrees C milder than the most recent 30-year (1981-2010) average. The maximum temperature was 13.7 degrees C on the 29th, and the lowest air temperature was тАУ4.8 C on 2nd. There were 8 nights with grass frost and 6 with air frost.
These data refer to observations at Armagh Observatory, which has been recording the weather at Armagh since 1795.
