Dear colleagues, please, look at the new ATLAS/CMS request and apply it at yours sites. Best regards, Andrey. ---------- Forwarded message ---------- Date: Tue, 30 Apr 2013 16:57:52 +0200 From: Alastair Dewhurst <Alastair.Dewhurst at cern.ch> To: "atlas-adc-cloud-all (contact for all the ATLAS cloud supports)" <atlas-adc-cloud-all at cern.ch> Cc: "atlas-adc-frontier (Frontier group)" <atlas-adc-frontier at cern.ch> Subject: WLCG Squid Monitoring Upgrade Dear Cloud supports Can you make sure the message below is passed on to the various sites in your cloud. I will need your help making sure all sites upgrade. You can view which sites have made the change by checking that there is some green for the site on the new monitoring page: http://wlcg-squid-monitor.cern.ch/snmpstats/indexatlas.html or by checking this text file which is updated every 7 minutes: http://wlcg-squid-monitor.cern.ch/squid_monitors.txt There will of course be some exceptional cases and I will help deal with them, but for the majority of sites it should be straight forward. Alastair Dear site admins The machine currently monitoring ATLAS Frontier squids will be decomissioned on 21st May 2013. To better reflect the use of Frontier by both ATLAS and CMS and the use of CVMFS, the new monitor will run under the WLCG banner. The new monitoring page is available at: http://wlcg-squid-monitor.cern.ch/ In order to enable the monitor, it is required that all sites modify the squid.conf for all of their squids. Sites will also need to check that an appropriate firewall hole has been made. Instructions can be found: https://twiki.cern.ch/twiki/bin/view/Atlas/T2SquidDeployment#Switch_to_WLCG_Squid_Monitoring This page should be publicly viewable (i.e. by people without an ATLAS certificate). During the week beginning 13th May, we will go through the list of sites being monitored and check that sites are working. If the update has not been done we will contact you via GGUS. A list of the status of all sites can be found at: http://wlcg-squid-monitor.cern.ch/squid_monitors.txt If you have any questions about this, please e-mail atlas-frontier-support at cern.ch Thank you in advance for your help in making this change. Alastair on behalf of ATLAS Distributed Computing
