On March 14—16 A.S. Makarenko Sumy State Pedagogical University held the final scientific and practical conference within the framework of the All-Ukrainian contest of students' scientific works in Physics. The winners of the contest are students of the Schools of Physics and Technology and Radiophysics of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.

 The first prize was awarded to Yaroslav Morhal, a student of the School of Physics and Technology, for his work «Excitation of electromagnetic azimuthal surface waves with circular electron beam» (scientific adviser: Doctor of Physics and Mathematics, Professor I.O. Hirka).

 The second prize was awarded to Anna Kastorna, a student of the School of Radiophysics, for her work «Influence of pathogenic protein aggregates on the structural and dynamic properties of model membranes» (scientific adviser: Doctor of Physics and Mathematics, Professor H.P. Horbenko).

 The third prize was awarded to Uliana Niemchenko, a student of the School of Physics and Technology, for her work «Morphology and adhesion strength of ion-plasma sprayed coatings» (scientific adviser: Doctor of Physics and Mathematics, Professor B.M. Bieriesniev).
