Academician Valerii Hreiets awarded University Doctor Honoris Causa

Within the framework of celebrations on the occasion of the 208th Anniversary of opening of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, for his considerable contribution to education and science development, Vice-President of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Director of the Institute for Economics and Forecasting of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Academician V. M. Heiets was awarded an honorary diploma of University Doctor Honoris Causa, a medal and a traditional pass to the University.

“Academician Valerii Heiets is jewel of Ukrainian economic science. All economists know his works. I am happy to have such a distinguished scholar and educator join our University community as Doctor Honoris Causa,” said President V. S. Bakirov.

“I am extremely proud to have been recognized Doctor Honoris Causa of Kharkiv University. I wish our University community to continue the University tradition and spread scientific knowledge to broad public for when scientific knowledge becomes public, it solves a lot of problems facing society,” said V. M. Heiets.
