The Summer School offers Russian language courses at Beginner level, visits tošprominent sights and ašgreat opportunity tošlearn about national traditions ofšEastern Ukraine. International students ofšthe summer school will immerse themselves inšthe culture of Eastern Ukraine with allšitsšhistorical landmarks andšexplore Ukrainian cities and regions. The program also includes lectures andšdiscussions inšArea Studies and Russian Language courses.

ACCOMMODATION Accommodation in the University hostel (double and triple rooms). CULTURAL ACTIVITIES AND FIELD TRIPS Museums, parks, city-tours, welcome and goodbye party, Open-air picnic. Trip to Verkhniy Saltov Reserve. Verkhniy Saltov Historical and Archeological Reserve is situated onšthe high picturesque bank of the Pechenihy reservoir (the Seversky Donets river). Village of Opishnia. National Museum-Reserve of Ukrainian Pottery. Krasnokutsk Tree Park. Ukraine, Kharkiv region, Krasnokutsk village. One ofšthe oldest tree parks inšUkraine founded more than 200šyears ago. Thešpark features over 300šspecies ofšrare plants. Natalievka Estate. Ukraine, Kharkiv region, Krasnokutsk district, Vladimirovka village. Koenig?s Manor. Ukraine, Kharkiv region, Sharovka village. One ofšthe oldest landmarks ofšthe Ukrainian gardening andšpalace architecture. ?Singing terraces? (natural sanctuary). Ašmasterpiece ofšpark and garden architecture ? ašseries ofšcascading man-made terraces. Special structure ofšthe terraces produces ašcharacteristic acoustic effect, andšthe sounds arešamplified.
