Astro Answers – Gravitational Waves: What are they?

HeòÀÙll go into the details of the press release by the Laser Interferometric Gravitational Wave Observatory (LIGO). This is astonishing news, and it has opened up a new way of learning about the universe.

About the speaker:
Jason Kendall is an Adjunct Prof. of Astronomy and Astronomy Liaison with William Paterson University in Wayne, New Jersey. Jason’s graduate research was in General Relativity and Cosmology, and he’s given numerous talks about the Big Bang, Black Holes for the AAA and around the region.
