What is the Higgs particle?

We know that most of these particles are not massless, and we believe the method by which they get their mass is the "Higgs mechanism." This mechanism is responsible for the mass of all elementary particles, and a not-yet-discovered particle is associated with it ò?? called the Higgs boson.
