In the January 2015 issue of Astronomy, Editor David J. Eicher wrote about his trip to the 2014 International Planetarium Society (IPS) meeting at the Beijing Planetarium in China. He was a featured speaker, but his trip also reflected a longstanding close tie between the magazine and the planetarium field.
