Astronomy's fourth annual Star Products

Innovative designs, technological breakthroughs, and great values continue to wow us in 2013's best 35 products.
2013 star products
Each year, Astronomy’s editors scour the astronomical marketplace to present to you innovative merchandise that deserves the title of “Star Product.” As in the three previous years, manufacturers created many worthy items, and trying to come up with a short list was a challenging task. But the 35 creations cataloged here represent what the magazine feels are the best of the best in 2013. The list includes nine telescopes, eight mounts, three cameras, two binoculars, and plenty of accessories from 27 different manufacturers.

Manufacturers include: Aerolite Meteorites, APM Telescopes, Astroclosets, Astropix.com, Canon, Celestron, Denkmeier, DobHut Observatory, iOptron, ISTAR Optical, JMI Telescopes, Knightware, Meade Instruments, Oberwerk, Olivon USA, Opticstar, Orion Telescopes & Binoculars, Santa Barbara Instrument Group, Skylight Telescopes, Sky-Watcher, Software Bisque, Stellarvue, Takahashi America, Tele Vue Optics, Unihedron, Vixen Optics, and William Optics.

Astronomy magazine subscribers can download the full Star Products listing for free. Just make sure you're registered with the website.
