Astronomy CCD Vs Digital Camera

I have an Olympus C2020 2.1 Megapixel camera that I can connect to my telescope. I have seen Astronomy CCDs for as little as $220. This is a "lower resolution" CCD with about 250,000 pixels. The CCD is obviously more sensitive and can take longer exposures but at the expense of resolution. Which is the better choice? Can post processing (deconvolution) and stacking images improve resolution? Any input is welcome.
