            Online 
            pre-registration for Astronomical Society of the Pacific Annual Meeting 
            is closed. Those wishing to attend the conference proper 
            on Sep. 13-16 can register on-site at the Westin SFO, the conference 
            hotel, at the ASP conference registration table. Those wishing to 
            register for the Saturday, Sep. 12 AANC meeting can register on-site 
            at the AANC registration table. Those wishing to register for the 
            Sep 12-13 weekend workshops can register on-site at the ASP registration 
            table as long as workshop slots remain. 
            Registration 
              Instructions 
            Safe 
              & Secure: The ASP is using a safe and secure 3rd party, 
              Event Rebels, to process registration information and Paypal 
              to collect credit card information. Visit the Event Rebels FAQ area 
              to read more about their secure system and privacy policy. 
            E-mail 
              Confirmation: You will receive a detailed confirmation of your 
              registration, as well as follow up email notifications pertinent 
              to the meeting. Your email confirmation will serve as your receipt 
              for the meeting. 
            Multiple 
              Registrants: You may sign up more than one registrant at a time 
              but make sure you have all of their information and selections ready 
              prior to filling in the form. 
            Meeting 
              Fees: Registration fees for the meeting proper include Conference 
              Proceedings (both print and e-access). They also include a full 
              year of general membership with the ASP or an extension of 1 year 
              to your current ASP membership. There is a separate daily registration 
              fee for attending the Saturday/Sunday workshops.

              For your convenience, there are two payment options -

                Check or money order -- via postal mail accompanied by 
                a printout of the confirmation email you receive after submitting

              cannot accept purchase orders as a payment method for this meeting

                    TIPS FOR ONLINE REGISTRATION:  
                  We 
                    recommend reading this Registration Information page 
                    thoroughly before filling in the registration form. The form 
                    is time sensitive and will "time-out" within 10 
                    minutes if you are not ready to answer all of the questions. 
                     
                  Secure 
                    Online Payment. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and 
                    American Express. You will be asked to supply the 3 digit 
                    CVV2 number on the back of your credit card and the billing 
                    address associated with the credit card. 
                  Mail-in 
                    Check/Money Order Payment. If you wish to pay 
                    by check or money order, you must SUBMIT your registration 
                    online, and mail check or money order with a copy of 
                    the Registration Confirmation email you receive after submitting 
                    your online registration to address below. 
                  Checks 
                    or money orders must be made payable to the ASP and paid in 
                    U.S. dollars. Checks for discounted rates must be received 
                    by the discount deadline.

            Registration 
              for the meeting includes automatic general membership (at the $55 
              rate) with the ASP and the new ASP Conference Series publication. 
              You can read more about these features below. (Note: if you are 
              a technical member, family member, or Supporter's Circle member 
              at a higher rate, you can send the difference between these membership 
              rates and the general rate to the ASP to return to your current 
              category of membership.)

            We 
              are including a general membership with the ASP or an extension 
              to your existing membership when you register. You will begin 
              to receive membership benefits such as our Mercury magazine right 
              away. More importantly, you are supporting the education programs

              Conference Proceedings 
               
              The ASP will publish a meeting proceedings. 
              This is an opportunity for all accepted presentations and posters 
              to be published in the official ASP meeting series (both print and 
              e-access). The cost of the proceedings (both print and e-access) 
              is built into the meeting registration fee for all meeting attendees. 
              Non-attendees may purchase copies/access when it is published though 
              the normal ASP Conference Series process.

            *Refund/Cancellation 
              Policy 
              Requests for cancellations on advance registration must 
              be received in writing, by email  2009meeting {at} astrosociety.org 
              or by FAX (415-337-5205) no later than August 
              30 for a full refund less a 15% processing fee. Cancellations received 
              after August 30 or persons who do not 
              appear at the meeting may not eligible for any refund. Refunds will 
              take approximately two to three weeks. Contact us by phone at 415-337-1100
