Google logo Google

Google Sky, first launched as part of Google Earth in August 2007, provides an exciting way to browse and explore the universe. Now also available from your web browser at google.com/sky, you can find the positions of the planets and constellations on the sky and even watch the birth of distant galaxies. Beyond stargazing, you can search for stars, planets, and galaxies, browse awe-inspiring Hubble telescope images, or explore historical maps of the sky. Especially remarkable is the educational possibility of this new tool; for more information on how Google Sky can be used in the classroom visit google.com/educators/geo.

Astronomy Magazine logo Astronomy Magazine

Founded in 1973, Astronomy is the world's best-selling astronomy magazine. Each month it previews major sky events; offers science stories covering cosmology, planetary science, and research on stars, galaxies, and unusual objects like supernovae and black holes; and provides how-to stories for amateur astronomers on observing, astroimaging, and telescopes. The magazine's editorial staff is committed to astronomy outreach and to helping astronomy clubs and organizations. In addition to the monthly magazine and the magazine's web site, Astronomy.com, each year the staff produces two special issues and an annual wall calendar. Astronomy also offers astronomical tours for its readers, and its editors frequently appear in the media to promote astronomy and cover star parties and professional meetings. The magazine is based at Kalmbach Publishing Co. in Waukesha, Wisconsin.

Beslist logo Beslist.nl

Beslist.nl. was founded in 2004. The Dutch comparison website helps consumers to compare products and prices from hundreds of webshops. The goal of the organization is to inform consumers so they can make a safe decision and a good deal. Therefore Beslist.nl offers detailed information on a large range of consumer goods, like specifications and reviews from experts and consumers. The organization has a special interest in astronomy and supports the ASP for its goal to teach children about the universe. Beslist.nl offers over 500 books (English language) about astronomy.

USRA logo Universities Space Research Association

The Universities Space Research Association was incorporated in 1969 in the District of Columbia as a private nonprofit corporation under the auspices of the National Academy of Sciences. Institutional membership in the Association has grown from 49 colleges and universities when it was founded, to 95 in 2005.

USRA provides a mechanism through which universities can cooperate effectively with one another, with the government, and with other organizations to further space science and technology, and to promote education in these areas. Its mission is carried out through the institutes, centers, divisions, and programs described on our website at www.usra.edu. Most of USRA's activities are funded by grants and contracts from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.
