Adaptive Optics Group

The Adaptive Optics Group of the Astrophysical Observatory of Arcetri is involved in many projects of Adaptive Optics for the major 6-8m class telescopes (LBT, VLT, Magellan, MMT) and for the future 25-40m class Extremely Large Telescopes (E-ELT, GMT). In particular, the group has a consolidated experience in the design, implementation, testing and observing operation of pyramid wavefront sensors and adaptive secondary mirrors.
