TIRGO
The Italian Gornergrat Infrared Telescope
The italian national telescope TIRGO is located on the top of the Gornergrat
mountain (3135 m altitude) in the swiss alps.
The telescope and related instrumentation is run by the "Centro per l'Astronomia
Infrarossa e lo Studio del Mezzo Interstellare" (CAISMI) of the Italian National
Research Council (CNR) with the assistance of the "Osservatorio Astrofisico di
Arcetri" and the "Dipartimento di Astronomia e Scienza dello Spazio" of the
"Universita' di Firenze".
