Multi Field Imaging with the OVRO Millimeter Array

Abstract:

We review some of the basic guidelines used to plan, execute and analyse multi-field observations at the Owens Valley Radio Observatory millimeter wave array. As a working example we discuss our observations of the inner 5.5'x5.5' of the Serpens cloud core. The results of our observations of this proto-cluster core suggest that the stellar IMF is determined during the core fragmentation process.
