The extragalactic group is involved in several lines of research covering a variety of topics from theory to observations across the electromagnetic spectrum (from gamma-rays to radio): the primordial Universe; the physical and evolutionary properties of high-redshift galaxies; the physical processes of nearby and distant AGN; the properties of nearby and high-z SNe; the gas, dust and dark matter physics in nearby normal galaxies and starbursts.
