Venus next to Crescent Moon 9/8/13 On this Sunday Night Venus came close to a Crescent moon. This was taken on my Nikon D5100 with a 70-300mm Lens. Was trying to balance the camera on a bridge over a highway but managed to get a clear shot. Nothing was altered except white balance to mach the almost exact color using a white object.
