Lowell's Library With His Survey Telescope

His wife built this library for Percival Lowell, in the shape of Saturn. It wasn't completed before his death.

In the foreground is the survey refractor that Lowell carried (or, rather his assistant did) around the world searching for a site of his observatory, prior to settling on Flagstaff, AZ.

Note the Saturn-shaped light.
