| Last of the wildflowers in bloom in the Mid West |

| This photo, taken earlier in October, shows
the last of the flowers blooming on the roadside near ASKAP Antenna 22 at the
Murchison Radio-astronomy Observatory. These beautiful purple flowers are
Ptilotus exaltatus, known as Mulla Mulla, and carpet the region in spring and
early summer.
