Steerable beams create flexible 'footprints'

The flexibility of the ASKAP phased array feed has been demonstrated by a variety of BETA observations using different shaped 'beam footprints'.

BETA has been used to image a galaxy group using a diamond-shaped pattern that maximises HI detections.
