DFBObs Observing with PDFB2
The PDFB2The pulsar digital filterbank is a current ATNF project (ATNF project 070) with project leader: Dick Manchester, Project scientist: George Hobbs and project engineer: Grant Hampson. The scientific justification for the PDFB systems is available from here. The project commenced in October 2003 with first design work being carried out in August 2004 with the arrival of Grant. A prototype digital filterbank (DFB) was designed and installed at Parkes in June 2005. Since the 16th of March 2007, the second Parkes digital filterbank system (PDFB2) has been routinely used for pulsar observations at the Parkes observatory.
