NASA/Cassini parallel recording at ATCA

DAS Setup

A fine tuner profile has been setup which user a type 2 8 MHz bandsplitter filter (2x8 MHz). A 0.5 MHz type 1 filter is then tunable within the 8 MHz. To center the 0.5 MHz filter within the 8 MHz filter the fine tuner NCO oscillator should be set to 4 MHz.

• If the tone is above the DAS central frequency choose the profile cassini_0.5MHz_ft.pro
• If the tone is below the DAS central frequency cassini_0.5MHz_ft-lower.pro

Recorder

cdisko currently does not support this mode of recording. Use (something like) the following command line

 > vsib-record -o cassini -w 0.5 -c oxox -t 6h -mk5b -x

Viewing

To see the signal "live"

 > cd <directory/where/vsib_record/is/recording>
 > fauto -online -n 1024
