Manned spacecraft Soyuz TMA-13M has docked with the International Space Station!
A manned transportation spacecraft Soyuz TMA-13M has docked with the International Space Station (ISS).
Approach to it, its fly-around, stationkeeping and docking were performed normally, in automatic mode.
The initial contact with the docking port on the module Rassvet of the ISS Russian segment occurred at 05:44 Moscow Time, 5 hours 46 minutes 20 seconds after the lift-off from the Baikonur launch site.

Soyuz TMA-13M launched to the International Space Station! The crew onboard the spacecraft consists of: M. Surayev, G. Wiseman, A. Gerst
In accordance with the mission plan of the International Space Station (ISS) and Russian commitments under this international project, a manned transportation spacecraft Soyuz TMA-13M was launched from Baikonur launch site at 23:57:40 Moscow Time.
The objective of the launch is to deliver to ISS a crew of three in order bring the crew of Expedition Forty (ISS-40) up to six.
The crew of Soyuz TMA-13M consists of: Russian cosmonaut Maxim Suraev (spacecraft commander), US astronaut Gregory Wiseman (spacecraft flight-1 engineer) and European astronaut Alexander Gerst (flight engineer-2 of the spacecraft).

The State Commission meeting
The State Commission held its meeting at Baikonur launch site where the primary and backup crews for Soyuz TMA-13M were approved and the readiness of the space launcher system was confirmed.

Sea Launch has launched EUTELSAT 3B into its transfer orbit
At 01:10 Moscow Time the Launch Platform Odyssey belonging to the space rocket launching system, Sea Launch and located in the equatorial area of the Pacific Ocean at 154 W launched an Integrated Launch Vehicle Zenit-3SL carrying spacecraft EUTELSAT 3B as its payload.
The objective of the launch was to deliver EUTELSAT 3B into its designated geotransfer orbit, from where it is to travel on its own to its designated station in the geostationary orbit.

Soyuz launch vehicle was rolled out from the integration building to the launch pad. Soyuz launch vehicle with Soyuz TMA-13M transport vehicle is installed on the launch pad. L-2 days activities have been started.

Meetings of the Technical management under the chairmanship of S.P. Korolev RSC Energia President and General Designer V.A. Lopota and State commission were held. A decision on rollout of the launch vehicle with the Soyuz TMA-13M transport manned spacecraft to the launch facility and its preparation for launch planned for May 28, 2014 was adopted.

The prime and backup crews for the ISS-40/41 initiated a final training phase in the processing facility.
Maksim Viktorovich Suraev (Roscosmos, Russia), Gregory Raid Wiseman (NASA, USA), Alexander Gerst (EKA, Germany), Anton Nikolaevich Shkaplerov (Roscosmos, Russia), Terry Virts (NASA, USA) and Samanta Cristoforetti (EKA, Italy) had training sessions onboard the spacecraft, with laser rangers and satellite phone, acquainted with the onboard documentation and the content of cargoes launched and also made a fitting of the Sokol-KB space suits and individual liners.

At 05:58 Moscow Time, the descent vehicle of Soyuz TMA-11M manned transportation spacecraft landed in its designated landing area 147 kilometers to the South-East of Jezkazgan in the Republic of Kazakhstan. All the operations associated with the descent, search and landing of the descent vehicle were completed normally.
