A ceremonial Scientific and Technical Board Meeting of Corporation devoted to 35 years of the first-ever joint international flight of the two nations' manned space vehicles - the Soviet Soyuz-19 space vehicle and the American Apollo space vehicle - took place in S.P.Korolev Rocket & Space Corporation Energia .

Among the speakers who said the complimentary words and congratulations devoted to that memorable date were:
V.A. Davydov, Secretary of State, Deputy Director, Roscosmos,
John Beyrle, Ambassador of the United States to the Russian Federation,
V.A. Lopota, President and General Designer, RSC Energia,
V.P. Legostaev, First Deputy General Designer, Chairman of the Scientific and Technical Council of the RSC Energia , full member of the Russian Academy of Sciences,
Y.P. Semenov, Chairman of Presidium of Corporation, full member of the Russian Academy of Sciences,
Russian cosmonauts A.V. Filipchenko and A.S. Ivanchenkov, who took training to fly as a back-up crew for the flight under the Apollo-Soyuz Test Project,
V.I.Vakhnin, Leading process engineer of the assembly shop.

The cosmonauts, astronauts and Corporation employees who participated in the Apollo-Soyuz program were given the Roscosmos awards "Korolev Decoration" and "Gagarin Decoration". The Soviet cosmonauts A.A.Leonov, V.N.Kubasov and NASA astronauts Thomas Stafford, Vance Brand, who performed a historical flight 35 years ago, were awarded with "Gagarin Decoration".
The Corporation employees who made a major contribution to the program implementation were awarded with "Korolev Decoration".

The Soviet cosmonauts of the back-up crews were awarded with RSC Energia honorary medal "35 years of the ASTP flight".
