Pyotr Ivanovich Maloletov
( 1904-1956)
Born in Trushnevo village of Cherepovets district (now in Vologda region).
Graduated from Leningrad Industrial Institute, mechanical engineer (1936).
1946-1952 - director of Experimental Plant 88 - deputy director for production of NII-88 of the Ministry of Armaments of the USSR (Kaliningrad, Moscow region).
He was in charge of reorganizing artillery factory into missiles factory, assembling ten rockets A-4 (V-2) out of components made in Germany, rounding them out with components and parts made in our country; preparing production and manufacturing our country's first long-range ballistic missiles R-1 and R-2.
He was awarded the orders of Red Star (1942), of Lenin (1944), of the Great Patriotic War, I Class (1945), the medal For Valiant Labor during Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. (1945).
