Soyuz ТМА-15М manned space vehicle has docked to the International Space Station!

Soyuz ТМА-15М transport manned space vehicle has docked to the International Space Station (ISS).

Rendezvous with the station, its fly-around, stationkeeping and berthing were performed normally, in an automated mode.

Contact with the docking port of the ISS Russian Segment Rassvet Module took place at 05 hours: 48 minutes Moscow Time, 5 hours 47 minutes after the launch from Baikonour launch site.

Flight control and monitoring of the ISS and space vehicle systems state in rendezvous and docking phase were preformed by the Lead Operational Control Team housed at Moscow Mission Control Center (MCC-M). Flight Director is V.A. Soloviev, the first Deputy General Designer of RSC Energia.

Final flight operations during space vehicle rendezvous and docking to the station were conducted under control of the State Committee on performance of manned space complexes flight tests and Technical Management responsible for manned space complexes flight tests.

After pressure leak tests of space vehicle compartments and docking units, pressure equalization between the station and space vehicle, transfer hatches were opened. Crew of the space vehicle passed the board of the station Russian Segment.

International crew consisting of six people started its work on the station: Russian cosmonauts Alexander Samokutyaev, Yelena Serova, Anton Shkaplerov; US astronauts Barry Wilmore, Terry Virts and European astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti.

Onboard systems of the ISS and Progress M-25M, Soyuz TMA-14M and Soyuz ТМА-15М space vehicles operate in design modes.

During performance of final operations of the space vehicle/ISS rendezvous and docking, representatives of Roscosmos and foreign space agencies were present.
