Expedition 43/44 (ISS-43/44)

MAIN TASKS OF THE INCREMENT
IN THE ISS-43 PHASE
(March 13 - June 11, 2015)

• Launch of one ISS-43/44 Russian crewmember, one Russian crewmember and one NASA crewmember of ISS-43/44/45/46 expedition by Soyuz TMA-16M vehicle;
• Docking of Soyuz TMA-16M vehicle to Mini Research Module Poisk (MRM2);
• Docking and unoading of Cygnus Orb-4 vehicle to Node-2-Nadir (to be defined);
• Final loading and undocking of Progress M-25M cargo vehicle from module Pirs (DC1);
• Docking to module Pirs (DC1) and partial unloading of Progress M-27M cargo vehicle;
• Loading and undocking of Cygnus Orb-4 vehicle from Node-2-Nadir (to be defined);
• Operational support for loading and undocking of Soyuz TMA-15M vehicle from Mini Research Module Rassvet (MRM1) (return to the Earth of three ISS-42/43 crewmembers);
• implementing one EVA from American Segmrent;
• Support of the Station functionality;
• Performance of the science and application research program and experiments;
• Onboard photographic and video recording of the ISS RS flight history and implementation of symbolic activities program.

The ISS-43 crew consists of 3 persons (March 13 - 27, 2015), 6 persons (March 28 - June 11, 2015).

 

MAIN TASKS OF THE INCREMENT
IN THE ISS-44 PHASE
(June 12 - September 11, 2015)

• Launch of one Russian ISS-44/45 Expedition crewmember and two NASA ISS-44/45 Expedition crewmembers by vehicle Soyuz TMA-17M;
• Docking of Soyuz TMA-17M to Mini Research Module Rassvet (MRM-1);
• Berthing and unloading of Dragon SpX-7 to Node2-Nadir (to be determined);
• Loading and unberthing of Dragon SpX-7 from Node2-Nadir (to be determined);
• Docking of Progress M-28M to Pirs module (DC1) and partial unloading;
• Berthing of vehicle HTV-5 to Node2-Nadir (to be determined);
• Relocation of vehicle HTV-5 from Node2-Nadir to Node1-Nadir (to be determined);
• Relocation of Soyuz TMA-16M from Mini Research Module Poisk (MRM2) to SM IC;
• Launch of one Russian ISS-44/45/46 Expedition crewmember and two visiting crew members by vehicle Soyuz TMA-18M, which will return to ground by Soyuz TMA-16М;
• Docking of Soyuz TMA-18M to Mini Research Module Poisk (MRM2);
• Berthing and unloading of Dragon SpX-8 to Node2-Nadir (to be determined);
• Operational support for loading and undocking of Soyuz ТМА-16М from SM IC (return of one ISS-43/44 Expedition crewmember and two VC members arrived on Soyuz ТМА-18М);
• Performance of one RS based EVA;
• Performance of three USOS based EVAs;
• Relocation of PMA-3 from NODE 3 to NODE 2 zenith (performed to prepare the docking port for commercial manned vehicles USCV);
• Relocation of РММ from NODE1 Nadir to NODE3 Forward (performed in support of berthings to NODE1 Nadir of commercial logistics vehicles beginning with HTV-6);
• Support of the Space Station functionality;
• Performance of science and application research program and experiments;
• Conduct of photo and video imagery of the ISS RS flight and symbolic activity program.

ISS-44 Expedition consists of 3 crew members (June 12 - July 23, 2015), 6 crew members (July 23 - September 1, 2015) and 9 crew members (September 1 - September 11, 2015).
