The launch vehicle with Soyuz TMA-20M has been installed on the launch pad

Today on March 16 medium-class launch vehicle (LV) Soyuz-FG with manned transport vehicle Soyuz TMA-20M has been successfully installed in a vertical position on launch pad No. 1 (Gagarin's launch pad) of the Baikonur cosmodrome.

Specialists of RSC Energia and other organizations involved in the launch processing proceeded to final technological operations at the launch processing facility.

The launch of the Soyuz TMA-20M MTV with the crew of the next long-duration expedition to the International Space Station is planned to be performed on March 19, 2016 from launch pad No.1 (Gagarin's launch pad) of the Baikonur cosmodrome.

The prime crew of the ISS-47/48 consists of cosmonauts Aleksei Ovchinin (the crew commander, ROSCOSMOS), Oleg Skripochka (flight engineer, ROSCOSMOS) and astronaut Jeffrey Williams (flight engineer-2, NASA). The backup crew consists of Sergei Ryzhikov (the crew commander, ROSCOSMOS), Andrei Borisenko (flight engineer, ROSCOSMOS) and Robert Kimbrough (flight engineer-2, NASA).
