Following a two-day free flight Russian cargo transport vehicle Progress М-07М docked to the International Space Station (ISS).

The vehicle rendezvous with the station, its fly about, station-keeping and berthing were performed in the automatic mode. The docking port of the instrument compartment of the Service Module Zvezda of the Russian Segment (RS) of the ISS was contacted at 15:58 Moscow time.

The ISS Expedition 24 crew working onboard the station monitored the rendezvous and docking processes. All dynamic operations were performed by mission control specialists under control of the Technical Management (Technical Manager is V.A. Lopota, President of RSC Energia, General Designer).

During the final rendezvous and docking operations of the vehicle the Mission Control Center in Moscow (MCC-M) was attended by representatives of the State Commission (A.N. Perminov, Chairman, Director of Roscosmos), Roscosmos, NASA, ESA, allied companies and organizations, managers and specialists of the Corporation.

By telemetry data and ISS crew reports the ISS onboard systems of the station and vehicle operate as designed.

 

 For reference:
  1. The vehicle delivered to the station more than 2.5 tons of cargo. Among these are propellant, water, food reserves (including fresh produce), oxygen and air; medical hardware, 102 kg of scientific hardware and equipment for the ISS RS systems including universal workstation; onboard documentation, crew parcels, video and photo equipment. 389 kg of cargo is intended for the US On-orbit Segment of the Station.
  2. The flight control and vehicle and station system status monitoring during the rendezvous and docking were provided by the lead operational control team formed by RSC Energia, MCC-M and space companies specialists. The flight director is V.A.Soloviev, the First Deputy General Designer.
  3. The Russian Segment of the ISS is made up of the Functional Cargo Module Zarya, Service Module Zvezda, docking compartment-module Pirs, mini research modules Poisk and Rassvet, manned transport vehicles Soyuz TMA-18 and Soyuz TMA-19, cargo transport vehicles Progress M-05M and Progress M-07M.
  4. The ISS-24 crew consists of Russian cosmonauts А.Skvortsov (crew commander), S. Kornienko, F.Yurchikhin and US astronauts Т. Caldwell-Dyson, Sh.Walker and D. Wheelock.
