From September 6 through September 8, 2004 S.P. Korolev RSC Energia hosted routine training sessions for Salizhan Sharipov and Leroy Chiao and their backup cosmonauts Valeriy Takarev and Willliam McArthur under the crew training program for the International Space Station (ISS) Expedition-10 Crew.
In training classes led by the Corporation's specialists they used the onboard video and photographic equipment and the onboard simulators as well.
The Russian cosmonaut Yury Shargin, visiting crew (VC-7) member, also took part in the training sessions. He exercised handling the analogs of the amateur radio communication system available onboard the ISS Russian Segment, DVCAM format video equipment, digital photographic equipment.
