A meeting of the State Board was held
at which the Soyuz TMA-7 and ISS-12 prime and backup crews
were approved, as well as a decision was made to continue
the Soyuz-FG/Soyuz TMA-7 rocket & space complex processing
for filling and launch within the scheduled time – on October
1, 2005, at 7:54 a.m. Moscow time.
The prime crew consists of: Valery Ivanovich
Tokarev, spacecraft commander and ISS-12 flight-engineer,
flight cosmonaut of RF, test cosmonaut of Yu.A. Gagarin
Cosmonaut Training Center, Colonel of RF Air Force; William
Surles McArthur, Jr., spacecraft flight-engineer, ISS-12
commander, NASA astronaut, U.S. AF Retired Colonel; Gregory
Hammond Olsen, spaceflight participant.
The backup crew consists of: Mikhail
Vladislavovich Tyurin, spacecraft commander and ISS-12
flight-engineer, flight cosmonaut of RF, test cosmonaut
of S.P. Korolev Rocket&Space Corporation Energia; Jeffrey
Nels Williams, spacecraft flight-engineer, ISS-12 commander,
NASA astronaut, U.S. AF Colonel; Sergey Valerievich Kostenko,
