On 24 June 2005 Roskosmos and Space Adventures (USA) concluded
a contract for a flight of Gregory Olsen, the U.S. citizen
to the Russian Segment of the ISS as a spaceflight participant
of the visiting crew 9 (VC 9).
When staying onboard the ISS
RS Gregory Olsen will perform the utilization program and
a number of scientific experiments of the European Space
Agency.
