Experience:
· · · 2014 -- present Fellow, Directorate for science, European Southern Observatory 2014 -- present Fellow Astronomer, Paranal Observatory Science Operations, ESO Paranal Observatory/Very Large Telescope 2009 summer Exchange Student, Cross-Disciplinary Scholars in Science and Technology (CSST), University of California, Los Angeles

Education:
· · 2010 -- 2014 Ph.D., Astronomy, University of California, Los Angeles, USA Advisor: Michael A. Jura 2006 -- 2010 B.S., Astronomy, Nanjing University, China

Research Statements:
· · Keyword: Planetary Systems, Elemental Compositions, Extrasolar Cosmochemistry, White Dwarfs, Circumstellar Disks Compositions of extrasolar asteroids: About 25-50% white dwarfs are accreting their own asteroids. I have performed spectroscopic studies in the optical and ultraviolet (Keck/HIRES, HST/COS, Keck/ESI, VLT/UVES, Magellan/IMACS) on these white dwarfs to understand the chemical compositions of extrasolar asteroids. Circumstellar disks & white dwarfs: About 4% white dwarfs display excess infrared radiation from tidally disrupted asteroids. I have used various instruments (Spitzer/IRAC, WISE, UKIRT, Keck/NIRSPEC, Herschel/PACS) to characterize these disks. Planetary systems & white dwarfs: I recently started a program with VLT/SPHERE to look for substellar objects around white dwarfs.
