International Baltic Sea Region Conference "Functional Materials and Nanotechnologies" - 2009.
FM&NT-2009 is organised by Institute of Solid State Physics, University of Latvia in cooperation with projects ERANET "MATERA" and National Research programme in Materials Science of Latvia. SCOPE The purpose of the Conference is to bring together scientists, engineers, and students from universities, research institutes and related industrial companies aware from the field of advanced material science and materials technologies. TOPICS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Advanced inorganic materials for photonics, energetics and microelectronics Organic materials for photonics and nanoelectronics Advanced methods for investigation of nanostructures Perspective biomaterials and medicine technologies


Development of technologies for design of nanostructured materials, nanoparticles, and thin films Design of functional materials and nanocomposites and development of their technologies Official language The official language of the Conference is English. No simultaneous translation will be provided. Second Announcement will provide you with detailed information regarding submission of manuscripts, accommodation, and social events. SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS Authors should submit the abstracts not exceeding one page and fitting to the needs for publishing in the Book of Abstracts. The format is A4, (210 x 297 mm); all margins 2.5 cm; font ­ Times New Roman, 12p; title ­ Bold, All Caps. Language is English. The abstracts may contain graphical results that support the written arguments. Book of Abstracts will be available as a handout during the Conference. The template for abstracts please find at the home page of the Conference: www.fmnt.lv. Abstracts have to be mailed to the Secretariat of the FM&NT2009 by electronic mail only - fmnt09@cfi.lu.lv by February 23, 2009. Presentation form (oral, poster, either) should be indicated in e-mail letter with attached abstract in MS Word format. The Programme Committee reserves the right to decide on the final allocation and presentation method. After having submitted your abstract, you will receive an email confirmation.
