THEOS SC Injection Accuracy

The SC actual injection accuracy was assessed by comparison of the nominal design orbit, with the account for disturbances at separation, and the actual orbit determined on the basis of: • The THEOS state vector at the time of separation according to the information provided by the satellite navigation equipment (SNE). • The THEOS orbit parameters at the time of separation according to the information received from EADS Astrium. Deviations of THEOS initial orbit parameters are demonstrated in the Table.
With reference to the above data, one can see that deviations of the THEOS osculation orbit parameters at the time of SC separation during Dnepr launch on October 1, 2008 did not exceed the prediction – the THEOS SC was launched with high accuracy.
