National Maths Summer School
17 January 2008
The outreach group assisted Ken Freeman with a visit from the National Maths Summer School. Early in the evening, Ken took a group of 80 high school students on a tour of the observatory and presented a lecture on Dark Matter. The outreach group then took over and Emma and Christine gave a talk on what can be seen in the night sky. Eduard and Nic showed the students the outreach telescopes and the moon as viewed through a thin layer of clouds!
Volunteers: Emma, Eduard, Nic and Christine.
