Turn Fits files onto mpeg movie
From terminal navigate to installation folder and type
./ds9 -scale scope global -rotate 90 -zoom 4 /home/.../*.fits
to load all the files, rotate them and scale them up to a useful size. The choose 'save frames as MPEG' and do not minimise ds9 or open another window as this will cause (our) system to crash!
