turret weight distribution

The weight and positions for the objects on the rotary floor were obtained from ecastro on nov03 and used to plot the weight distribution on the rotary floor. The distribution was updated to the configuration when alfa is installed. The radii used for the position of the objects was eyeballed from the drawing. Some of the weights provided were approximate values (noted in the table). These weights do not include the weight of the floor structure or any temporary things placed on the floor (pumps, people, etc.).
The figure shows the weight distribution by turret position. Each object is identified by a symbol and color.

Fig 1 top: Each object on the floor is plotted with its weight vs its turret position.
Fig 1 middle: The weight is averaged by turret position quadrant to show the imbalance in weight distribution. The total object weight is 5170 lb..
Fig 1 bottom: The 1st moment (mass*radius) is computed by quadrant (you can divide by 32 to get slugs if you really want...)
On 14feb04 the turret floor was weighed (before the 6 to 8 Ghz receiver was installed). The floor was lifted with jacks and the load was measured. The total weigth (including the floor itself) was 9200 lbs. With the 6 to 8 rcvr it should weigh 9450 lbs. The maximum allowable weight is 10000lbs (i think the support springs on the floor are rated for 8000 lbs).

A table with the weight distribution is given below. The name column is the label used on the plots above. The turret position is that of the receiver or read off of the drawing. For the radii i took the focal circle for the receivers. For other objects i read an approximate value off of the drawing.
