Radar Observations of Asteroid 2006 QV89

We propose radar observations of near-Earth asteroid 2006 QV89. This small (about 30-m diameter) asteroid will be observable at Arecibo from 2006 Sept 1-12. We propose to observe it with the S-Band radar at low power on 2006 September 6. It should be detectable unless it is smaller than predicted or rotating very quickly. These observations will also validate the use of the radar on commercial power for the upcoming R2182 observations of the Moon.
